I'm Nathan Van Kempen — a certified flight instructor and full-stack software developer based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I started Discovery Flight Media after seeing the same problem at every airport I visited: talented operators running world-class training programs behind websites that looked like they were built in 2014.

I build with the same tools used by top tech companies — Next.js, React, TypeScript — but with an understanding of aviation that no generic agency can match. I've given preflight briefings, managed flight schedules, and know what actually drives a prospective student to pick up the phone.
